Deep-fried s'mores

Yes, I said "Deep Fried S'mores"!!!! Can you imagine? Well, trust me, they are as ridiculously delicious as you are imagining right now. And the worst part is, they are so easy to make that you will have to force yourself NOT to make them regularly.

What you need:
1 can crescent rolls
miniature marshmallows
semi-sweet chocoalte chips
oil

What you do:

Lay out a single crescent/triangle. Add about 5 mini mashmallows and 6-10 chocolate morsels. Roll the crescent and tuck in the sides so that it starts to look like a deformed ball. :)

If you have a deep fryer, that is best. If not, fill a soup pot about 2/3 full of vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, drop in 1-2 balls. After 3 minutes, flip them so that the other side of the dough will brown. Cook another 2-3 minutes.

Take them out and cover with powdered sugar.

I swear, when you bite into them and you eat that melted chocoalte and marshmallow inside the fried dough, you will be HOOKED!!!!
Please try these and let me know what you think. :)

Tab-top bracelets

Carter is making and selling these adorable tab-top bracelets. He has been helping me pick out ribbon (I can't tell you how many different types of camo he has requested already) and he's saving tab-tops.

He had been watching me create wreaths and post-it holders and such and he decided he wanted to do something. I told him whatever money he made he could save toward his fall-break trip. I think it's a great opportunity to teach him about working and saving money.

Anyway, I think they're awesome.

Pot Roast

I used to buy the microwavable packages of roast beef because I have never figured out how to make a decent pot roast. However, I found a recipe on Pinterest for a slow-cooker version and it has become one of our favorite meals.

What you need:
1 3-5 pound Chuck Roast
1 pkg. Ranch powder
1 pkg. Italian dressing powder
1 pkg. Brown gravy mix
1 pkg. Lipton Herb and Garlic mix

Directions:
Place roast in crock pot. Pour packages of dry seasonings over top. Add 2/3 cup of water. Turn temperature to low. Allow to cook for 6-8 hours.

Seriously, it's that easy! Now, if you want vegetables, place 2-3 small potatoes cubed and a package of baby carrots ON THE BOTTOM.....make sure the roast sits on top.

My secret, which was not mentioned on the pinterest site, is to stir the mixture every hour or so (if you're home and able.) It makes the meat better, more evenly coated with the herb mixture.

Try it and tell me what you think!

Here We Go!!!!!

How many times have you seen something and pinned something on Pinterest only to find that it doesn't work the way you thought it would? Well, for me, it happens a lot. But, on the other hand, I have pulled off some pretty amazing feats thanks to ideas that I have stumbled across on that most amazing site.

My plan, if it comes to fruition is for anyone who loves Pinterest as much as I do to be able to come here and share what they've accomplished and what has failed. We can learn from each other and possibly help inspire each other to be more creative, more organized, more fabulous. :)
